MST will be participating in Medica 2016 with the only image-guided robotic system for minimally invasive surgery, AutoLap™. “We are already seeing how laparoscopic surgeons are benefiting with the AutoLap image-guided robotic laparoscope positioning system at sites around Europe and the United States,” explains MST’s CEO, Motti Frimer. “MST is expanding the AutoLap market over 2017, focusing on key facilities in Europe. Surgeons and facilities that are seeking more affordable and low footprint robotic systems that allow them to perform more efficient procedures will find the AutoLap system an obvious asset.”
Looking ahead at 2017, MST seeks surgeon-focused partnerships that will empower robot-assisted surgery and invite interested professionals to meet with us at Medica 2016.
MST Medical Surgery Technologies will be presenting AutoLap™ in Hall 16, G40.
AutoLap™ is an image-guided laparoscope positioning system, powered by MST’s image-analysis software. The system interacts with the surgeon’s movements in the surgical cavity, guiding the robotic laparoscope positioner in real time, offering the surgeon full and natural control of the surgical procedure and an optimal field of view.
Benefits in the OR
The AutoLap™ robotic system addresses laparoscopic surgery workflow and efficacy challenges. It eliminates imprecise and abrupt movement due to fatigue and hand tremor; frees up tight space and crowding around the operating table; and improves the surgeon’s ergonomic position.
Working with AutoLap™ offers OR facilities the potential to increase case volume with current or reduced staff, leading to a rapid positive contribution margin. Administrators can optimize staff resources, improve OR scheduling, provide a solution for off-hours, and add incremental procedures with current resources. The system integrates with existing OR setup.
Medica 2016 – World Forum for Medicine is being held in Dusseldorf, Germany, on November 14-17, 2016.
